Atmospheric Control Units (ACUs) for the CLARIOstar  Plus, Omega and NEPHELOstar Plus series are the ideal solution for live cell-based applications, from standard cell growth to hypoxia or temperature control assays pH. The ACU provides a complete solution for complete and independent regulation of both O2  and CO2  gas levels in the microplate reading chamber. As a unique feature in the plate reader, CLARIOstar Plus with ACU provides the ability to run O2 and CO2 air ramps. For example, an air controller can remove O2  and then rapidly re-oxidize it back to physiological conditions, while keeping CO2  levels stable. This ability enhances live cell experiments and supports ischemic reperfusion studies, as disease models such as ischemic reperfusion can be reproduced in vitro in a microplate reader.
